Privacy Policy
Introduction
Welcome to SongsOfDreams. This is a small web app that turns your written stories into complete songs. You can write down memories, feelings, or messages to someone, and the system will generate a song with melody, vocals, and cover art for you.
We know these stories and songs can be deeply personal and meaningful. Protecting your privacy and data is one of our top priorities. This privacy policy explains:
- What information we collect
- Why we collect it
- How we store and protect it
- When we may share it with third parties
- What rights you have regarding your personal data
By using SongsOfDreams, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect and How We Use It
To provide and improve the SongsOfDreams service, we collect the following types of information, within a reasonable and necessary scope.
1. Account Information
- What We Collect: The email address you provide when registering or signing in, and optional profile information such as display name or avatar.
- Purpose:
- To create and manage your account;
- To perform login verification, security auditing, and abuse detection;
- With your consent, to send important service-related messages (for example, feature changes, policy updates, or security notices).
2. Creation and Usage Data
- What We Collect:
- The text you input when using the service (for example, your stories or notes);
- Content generated by the system based on your input, such as songs, lyrics, cover images, and related metadata (like creation time, language, and status);
- Your actions on these items inside the product (for example, save, delete, enable public sharing).
- Purpose:
- To provide the core functionality of SongsOfDreams: turning your stories into songs and saving them in your personal library;
- To let you revisit, listen to, and share your songs in the future;
- When you enable public sharing, to generate a shareable song page link for you.
Important: By default, your songs are private and only visible in your own library. They become accessible to others only if you explicitly turn on public sharing and share the link.
3. Usage Logs and Product Analytics
- What We Collect:
- Logs about how you use the product, such as pages visited, buttons clicked, features used, and timestamps for requests;

- To debug issues, analyze performance, and prevent abuse (for example, malicious API calls).
4. Device and Technical Information
- What We Collect: Device type, operating system version, browser type and version, language settings, and approximate region (inferred from IP, not precise to a street address).
- Purpose:
- To ensure compatibility across devices and browsers;
- To support security protections (for example, detecting unusual login behavior).
5. Cookies and Local Storage
- What We Collect: Cookies, local storage, or similar technologies in your browser, which may store:
- Login state and session identifiers;
- Language preferences (e.g., English / Chinese);
- Theme preferences (light / dark / system).
- Purpose:
- To keep you signed in across pages;

You can clear or disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may affect certain features (for example, requiring you to log in again or preventing us from remembering your preferences).
6. Payment and Billing Information
When you purchase credits or use paid features, the payment process is usually handled by third-party payment providers.
- What We Collect and Process:
- Basic order details (such as order ID, payment amount, and payment status);
- Some billing information returned by the payment provider.
- What We Do Not Store:
- Full card numbers, CVV codes, or similar highly sensitive payment data. These are handled only within the secure systems of our payment providers.
- Purpose:

- Access control and permission management;
- Encryption during transmission (for example, HTTPS);
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest when appropriate;
- Logging and monitoring to help detect abnormal access.
Please understand that while we strive to use industry-standard security practices, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data security incident that may affect your rights, we will, where required by law, inform you of the situation and the measures we are taking.
